How Dock & Door Service Requests Work
A commercial facility calls with an equipment description and location; an accepting third-party provider independently confirms fit, availability, ETA, pricing, documentation, and terms.
Independent service-request website. Calls may be shared with a third-party commercial dock and door provider. The provider confirms capability, availability, timing, pricing, and terms.
01 — The call collects a useful description
Call 314-804-7278 with the facility name, complete address, municipality, county, and Missouri or Illinois side. Identify the bay or door, equipment category, present position, observable condition, operational effect, access instructions, receiving hours, and the person authorized to request the next step. Add a readable brand, model, serial, label, or fault code only when it can be obtained safely.
Describe what changed instead of diagnosing a part: a leveler will not raise, a curtain is jammed, a door reverses, a restraint light is unexpected, a seal is torn, or a fire door dropped. Photos or label information can support screening, but they do not replace a site evaluation.
- Facility and jurisdiction: name, address, municipality, county, and state.
- Equipment and condition: bay or door number, category, current position, symptom, and freight impact.
- Access and authority: hours, gate or escort rules, safety orientation, purchase-order process, and work authorizer.
03 — The provider decides the work path
The accepting provider—not this website—decides whether to inspect, quote, repair, secure, replace, test, document, or decline the request. The provider explains what it evaluated, what remains uncertain, the proposed scope, pricing before authorized work when applicable, and whether another visit, trade, part, permit, inspection, or authority conversation is needed.
The facility contracts directly with the provider for work. The provider is responsible for its personnel, methods, tools, permits and inspections it agrees to handle, documentation, and any warranty or correction terms it offers. Provider availability is never guaranteed by this site.
Questions about a charge, diagnosis, workmanship, schedule, safety practice, warranty, permit, or inspection should be addressed directly with the provider identified for the request. Questions about this website's copy, sources, or routing can be raised by phone at 314-804-7278.
